Checked And Layered

October 14, 2015

So I woke up and suddenly couldn't bring myself to wear what I had during the previous night decided on thanks to unpredictable weather.I don't believe in"freeze and shine"so I had to switch to something warmer.I however got this idea of retaining the dress and tights but opted for boots instead of flats, added a top under the dress and threw a checked shirt over the dress for extra warmth and to hide the top inside.See layering is often a great way of staying warm and stylish and the best part is that you can always add as many layers as you please depending on how cool or cold the place is.A checked shirt or plaid if you like is always a fun addition. You might want to check out my August series on how to wear a plaid shirt on the blog.

  4. I love those boots! I get so cold that my idea of layering is just chucking a load of t-shirts on one after the other so this is definitely helpful! Lovely blog :) xxx
