Hey Guys!! Gosh TGIF right?

So these happen to be my favourite pair of jeans.I fell in love with them the moment I saw them at Ngara while shopping.I was certain that they would fit me and I wanted them. It's their distressed design that made me fall for them since I'd been looking for a pair just like these for a while having seen how amazing Nicky minaj,Christina Milian just to mention but a few rocked theirs.

I like wearing them a little hip-hop-ish.You know ,with boots and snapbacks especially black ones, but this time I opted to wear them a little differently. With a white blouse, navy waistcoat and these grey booties. At first I wasn't too sure about wearing the grey booties,I wanted black boots  but I figured if I am to go different on this outfit I might as well not wear the shoes in the obvious black colour. For the bag,I opted for this bright red one.

 Hey guys!!

So this happens to be my 50th blog post and am greatful that you're still keeping up with me....This has got to be one of the most interesting dresses I own.See there's a Columbian soap my sister loves to watch called "The Voice of Freedom" which is acted in a vintage kind of setting whereby the ladies and little girls wear dresses that look like this one.Well, sort of.Wearing this one kinda made me feel like I was in those yester years.Even the hair was perfect for the outfit.I must say whoever created this one really knew her craft.Just saying.

The dress's fabric is so comfortable and the length very decent.I just love that it has a Chinese -like collar and the checkered detail around the neck area, the waist part and a little above the helm is beautiful. Ofcourse I can't overlook the laces on the sleeves and collar area.I paired it with some Asos shoes and a black leather bag which I carry around very often.I could just twirl and swing my hips in it all day.Believe me,when I saw this dress during a thrifting expedition I knew I had to have it because I'd never seen any like it.Hope you love it too.

Thanks for looking in today..Till next time God bless and stay stylish
Love
 Sophie

Hello...Being a Monday,I thought this would be the perfect post.

i

I know these kind of glasses make one look more like a geek ,but honestly this time for me,wearing them with this whole outfit made me feel more like a professor. The photos reminded me of a  conservative lecturer or some kind of educator except I wasn't carrying a pile of books or a briefcase around..

So when I was younger I always thought that to be taken seriously you had to be in a suit and glasses because my dad always went to work in a suit and glasses .Although that's not true,it's not entirely wrong to say that a suit or maybe tailored pants paired with a blazer and glasses would make you look a little serious, though the glasses could make you look playful on the flip side depending on how you wear them and the type you choose.

I wore these pants with a matching black jacket, the same one I styled here  except I folded the sleeves, with a simple top and earrings to church a few weeks back.I added the maroon belt for a pop of colour and wore these brogues.I held my hair back and opted for this chocolate brown woven bag and to complete the look.

Hey guys! Hope all's well. The phrase "less is more" is one we are all too familiar with but is often overlooked especially by ladies when it comes to dressing, hair and make-up.I guess that's why at times dressing up gets a little stressfull. It doesn't have to be like that though. With just a few simple closet basics, putting together an outfit can't get any easier.

This is an outfit I wore  a little over three weeks ago.I just put together pieces that I find very essential.First, you might want to get yourself a black long sleeved blouse if you still don't have one.It will come in handy on many occasions I tell you.I wore mine with this is bright aline skirt and opted for a pair of brogue heels for that school girl kinda look.

Accessorizing was even easier.A pair of red n black earrings and a skinny black belt for colour because the neutral appearance of the blouse, skirt and shoes needed some and a black leather bag seemed good enough to complete the look. For the make up,just a slightly red lip and tata!! done.Very little effort putting together fewer pieces yet very rewarding results don't you think?
