Nyeri In The Morning

The other side  with the garden and the scouts and guides badge

Nyeri is a small town located in Kenya's central province. We spent one night there during our four day trip to the Mount Kenya region. An inviting and cool town nice for relaxing that just so happens to be where Lord Baden Powell who was a lieutenant general in the British army, writer, founder of the Scout Movement and first Chief Scout of The Boys Scout Association lived his last days and died.Of course I just had to say that because I was a girl scout in my younger years and in high school too. Before leaving for Mount Kenya that morning, from where the school bus was parked,I noticed the gardens you see in the first few pictures from a far and had to zoom my lense to get the images you see above. That was a moment for me because I had never visited the town despite being a scout.Something always hindered me whenever there was a trip to the place.

Loved the little I saw in the morning for the short period of time we were in the little town that it is.Touring the area was not part of our visit which explains why we didn't stay longer.

MY STYLE

Comfort is key during any road trip or travel adventure and for me,a good pair of dark jeans does it for me of course because some places may be a little dusty or dirty along the way.A comfortable tee and something warm do justice.I wore this striped waterfall sweater that I really love.To think I found it while thrifting.I love a good pair of sneakers because they are super comfortable for a trip and these were just perfect and great in case of any dust or mud considering the region we were in receives quite some rainfall.

Oh yeah I just had to take a photo next to this fake giraffe ,it was just there for us to look at and I thought it looked cute lol!

These are some of my classmates walking towards the bus.

Fun Selfie time

And more shots

Thanks for stopping by.If you're Kenyan and aren;t touring your country, start because it's very rewarding. If you're not from around here, you're more than welcome and do stop by Nyeri sometime. It's about a two hour drive from Nairobi.Check out my previous post on our trip to The Mount Kenya Region "The Thompson Falls Adventure" here
