Hey guys!
I hope you're all doing great. I am too but this is where I say, pardon my inconsistency. I've been on hiatus again but alas! I'm here with more outfit inspiration, despite the quarantine/ isolation period. Today, I am showing you all how I styled my porcelain print skater dress very simply.
Are skater dresses flattering? Yes they are. Very flattering in fact owing to their A shape that is very forgiving to a lady's figure. That's because they are narrowest around the waist area and then flare out past the waist downwards, bringing out a great silhouette. Skater dresses really do wonders for your figure.
I got this one back in 2016. I actually wore it to my graduation party then and to date, it's still one of my favorite dresses.
I loved it for the porcelain print. It's beautiful and often reminds me of some fine china. The fact that it's a simple white skater dress with the print in blue makes it such a winner because a blue and white combination almost always never fails.
I love the fact that this dress is of decent length, goes up to the knees meaning it works for any kind of occasion. Works for work with a blazer over it, works for a wedding with some nice strappy white or silvery heels, works for a date, church and errands with just a pair of sneakers. It is also of great fabric hence its appearance close to four years since I bought it.
So styling this porcelain print skater dress for this look was very simple. Then again, styling a skater dress always is, at least if you as me.
As you can see, it is simply the dress with a pair of black lace-up open shoes, a black bag and belt. I also just added some sunnies as those were the hot days that are unfortunately no longer with us. It's the rainy season in Kenya currently. Unfortunately, owing to quarantine/isolation, we were not able to fully enjoy days out in the sun over here.
So that's really it for today, how I styled my porcelain print skater dress. This look actually would work for various occasions. So just styling a printed skater dress with all black accessories works great and you should definitely give it a try.
Thanks for stopping by,
Xo
