Blending Contrast

Hey guys.So yesterday was fathers' day and amidst all those fathers day messages on TV I kept looking at my own dad and wondering "how does he do it?"
I never post on Sundays which is why I'll say this today instead, that I too have a thousand and one reasons to appreciate my own dad.He works so hard everyday, that since I was a child I never lacked my basic needs but most important is that I have never failed to feel loved.Someone else would argue that it is every father's responsibility to do these but to me they all count.Aside from that, all my life my dad's had to work in many different places so he's always had to travel, but never once did I feel his absence as a child. My siblings and I always knew that we could reach him whenever we needed to.It's funny that he'd leave me with assignments while he went away such as to learn the 10 commandments,10 plagues at Egypt,Parables of Jesus,Bible verses e.t.c or with just a book to read for my benefit and would applaud whenever I presented to him when he returned. He taught me to pray and make sound decisions in life. The list of the things he's taught me throughout the years is endless but I will just say that I am always thankful to have him as my dad and thanks to the way he raised me,I am a confident young lady today who dares to dream and knows how to fight for what I want and thanks to him I know my worth.
Blue and red are two very contrasting colors that somehow always have a chic way of blending to create a beautiful, rich look if you choose the right shades.I went for a very bright blue skirt yesterday and paired it with a white tee, then threw on this equally bright red jacket and I couldn't have been happier.I wore these lace up shoes that I haven't worn in the longest time and with the addition of my blue button earrings and clutch,Voila!Satisfaction, and it was perfect for the sunny weather too.

Thanks for stopping by
Yours
Sophie
