The Thompson Falls Adventure

Thompson Falls Nyahururu.Such a beautiful place I'd heard of so many times but hadn't visited till two weeks ago when my classmates and I went over there as part of our Mt.Kenya region  field trip.I still can't believe it took me so long to get there but what matters is that I was finally able to.How lovely it is to watch the water from the falls drain so gracefully and flow through some rocks. The view from the top was amazing but the temptation to go down and get closer was great, some of us decided to do exactly that.

After going down a lot of steep steps that resemble those of a staircase,we found ourselves down here.Slightly tired but still glad we did it.The water and rocks are even more beautiful from down here and the falls even lovelier but still slightly far,so we still had to get closer. This saw us climb the slippery rocks, trying hard not to slip.Seeing the guys there from afar got me even more curious to get even nearer.

Upon arrival to where I was headed,it was just Hallelujah!!!It felt so great and for the first time in years,it felt like we were playing in the rain.We were getting wet but that did not matter.Even my camera had water all over it and I was slightly afraid for it but oh well, the excitement took over and after a few pictures and selfies (actually many)it was time to climb back up. Because of the many photos we were the last ones there.

Such a difficult and tiring task that took so much energy and panting. It's a good thing I had some friends with me for motivation and remaining there wasn't an option anyway so we had to keep on and on to the top.It felt like I had lost a few pounds lol!Either way I'd do it again if given the chance without thinking twice.

Once at the top, there are many other activities to take part in like horse back riding, camel riding or just look at the stuff in their curio shops.

Thanks for stopping by
