Just Basics

I pretty much lived in my jeans during the entire December holiday.I had enough pairs to rock thanks to a nice thrifting adventure that saw me get a hold of many great pieces. The one I had on this day however, was not obtained from that thrifting trip down the West Market but one I've had for some time now.I felt like I should share this look because it features items and pieces I consider wardrobe basics. The thing with basics is that they save you when you need it.Times when you're in too much of a hurry to get ready and don't have enough time to think of how to pair stuff, days when you don't feel like taking the time to get all glamed up,e.t.c.
Anyway items I consider basics include;a plain white t-shirt,a comfortable pair of jeans that fit,a dark colored blazer/jacket(especially black in color) a pair of black shoes among others.I therefore had on all of the above except a black blazer because I had a navy boyfriend one instead.I love boyfriend jackets and sometimes make some out of my long sleeved blazers by folding the sleeves especially during warmer days.I decided to accessorize simply with a bright pink skinny belt and came across this pearl necklace when I was choosing my earrings.I love turbans like this one because they create an interesting look out of a simple one.Of course there are other things you should have as part of your wardrobe but I'll talk about them in another post.I took these pictures after a walk with my sister. It was very sunny and dusty so I'd switched the shoes I had on previously with these ones since they were almost similar for this quick shoot because it was very late and boy were we hungry. That's why there's some dark dust on my feet but I still enjoyed those moments and I miss my sister because she went back to school.
