Staying Positive, I Feel Like 2019 Will Be Great

Hey guys ,

So towards the end of 2018, I was just exhausted.

Between a boss who's trying his very best to get on your last nerve,  doing lots of field work,  spending so much money on fares,  being unable to eat properly,  I just needed a good break.

So about the boss situation,  I don't know how I was able to do it but he tried me every single day of those last two weeks but somehow by the grace of God,  I blocked it all out. Never let his bullying get through my heart.

Let me just say,  my dad taught me to pray everyday before heading off to work and guess what,  it actually works wonders. It helps you stay positive and optimistic.

So in 2019, as I leave my home in Eldoret to go back to Nairobi,  I report back to work on Monday,  I choose to stay positive and prayerful.

So  anyway,  I lost 4kgs in just two weeks,  got underweight. Like way underweight. Did so much fieldwork to reach a hard, unrealistic marketing target  but somehow found a way. I got there.Yeeey. What doesn't kill you only makes you feel stronger.

So I vlogged part of my journey.  Watch my very first weekly vlog to see that and more of my last week at work.

While you're at it, if would mean a lot to me if you subscribed to my YouTube Channel. I'll be posting videos weekly.Maybe even two per week.

If you are wondering why I didn't quit,  well I also wanted to see for myself how much pressure I could withstand plus I saw my target as unrealistic but I wanted to see for myself how close to reaching it I could get. The field work also exposed me to stuff that made me count my blessings e.g. when I went to a cancer center and saw all those sick people struggling to get their health back but were still pushing on.Such situations make you appreciate what you have. and think less of your problems.

Also, I was taking some lessons. I certainly know what I wouldn't want to do to my employees one day lol. I am very interested in seeing the results of my work in January. I don't think pressure can crack me, at least not at work. I'm proud of myself for withstanding that and I will carry that lesson with me even to another job.

I hope I get a better job this year but for now, I'm reenergized and healthier after my leave.I have this strong feeling that 2019 will be such a great year and I would like to share more with you guys on how it goes.

There's lots of blog posts coming up too so follow me on my socials. I also hope you checked out my last post.

Thanks for stopping by.

  4. Happy new year hon!Wishing you a great start to the year in both work and play.
Work can come with its challenges- I went through a lot last year. What I'm trying to get better at, is having a stronger mind. Sometimes it's not what happens to us, but how we react to it...
