Five Tips On How To Wear Leggings As Pants For A Casual Day

I did a post on how to wear leggings to work about two weeks ago and today, I'd just like to show you a bit on how to wear leggings as pants casually, which is something I do very often.

If you've been stopping by my blog for a while(thank you very much) then you;ve probably noticed I wear leggings a lot. The reason for that is , I have a very small frame and it's often very difficult for me to find actual pants that fit. So here are a few tips I like to stick to.

1. Choose thicker leggings
Again, you do not want to have your panty lines showing. Not cool, not pretty.Thicker leggings just kinda hold everything in place if you ask me, plus you can wear shorter tops with thicker ones without having to worry about showing too much.

2. Avoid extremely shiny leggings.
Wear more matte looking if I may use that word because they will be too much.I feel like shinier ones bring more attention to the wrong places and they also do not give you too many options on what to wear them with. Not very versatile.

3. Choose a great fit
You seriously don't want loose leggings. You want them well fitted because otherwise, they stop looking like leggings. Go for a great fit, not too tight either because you will be unable to walk in them.

4. Stick to sneakers, flats and booties
Since this is a post on how to wear leggings as pants casually you definitely need some casual shoes. I love pairing leggings with sneakers but sandals and booties will also do the job.

5. Choose a fuller length
I feel like if you want your leggings to look like pants, you might as well just go for a length similar to that of your pants.

You might have seen this look from the video below where I was hanging out at different spots in my home town. I paired my newly thrifted black leggings with a white tank. Very basic but then I added a mint jacket to make it cooler. I also wore my leggings with these sneakers that had some mint detail which matched my jacket and loved it.
