How To Style Ankara: Best Ankara Wrap Top

I hope you're doing great. So am I and looking at these pictures is making me even happier because I am in love with this outfit. First of all, I was never into Ankara dressing years ago because I thought it meant I would look old but that changed when I got my first one custom made and now, I love to rock a few Ankara pieces every now and then.

So today's post is another one on how to style Ankara, whereby I am wearing this beautiful Ankara wrap top that you might have already seen if you watch my YouTube videos.

So I got this Ankara print wrap top from a shop in Nairobi and the best part about it is that I did not have to alter it in any way. It fit me perfectly and honestly, I couldn't be happier. The second thing I loved is that it was on sale and who doesn't love saving their coins? I thought so.

So anyway, the Ankara wrap top is a statement piece as you can already see. I love that it is because it's great to stand out every once in a while if not every time. For this Ankara outfit, I just really wanted it to be the centre of everything as you can already see.

So I went for a simple pair of jeggings, this particular one that I wear ever so often because it's really amazing. I also went for these chunky mules because of the heel size and size of the tail, if I may call it so, of the Ankara wrap top.

To add some colour to this look, I went for a brown envelope bag. An envelop bag is usually so nice and simple. Slightly above the size of a clutch and not quite a purse right?

I know there are so many pictures in this post but I'm literally having a difficult time picking which ones to use. Anyway, in case you're wondering, everything else aside from the Ankara wrap top and bag was a thrift. The bag is from Rosegal. I've had it for years now and it has never failed me.

I also love that Ankara dressing keeps growing in popularity and that as much as it's an African thing, it's being embraced everywhere and I am looking to buy more Ankara pieces because after seeing these pictures I certainly feel like I need more.
