Hey guys! I hope you're all doing well. So am I and I am also here with a new post. Now first of all, it's cold in France right now. Very cold, but regardless, I remain Kenyan even if for the first time in my life I am in Europe experiencing fall. I am also a girl that loves fashion who some time back happened to have worn a chiffon maxi dress in cold weather and this is why I'm posting this today. This is how to wear a long sleeve maxi dress in cold weather.
It's possible to transition a lot of summery pieces into fall weather and the key is to layer your clothes. So, first of all, this maxi dress is a thrift believe it or not. One of my best thrifts yet if you ask me. It's a nice long sleeve maxi dress with floral print all over its green shade which makes it even more amazing.
Like I mentioned earlier, at the top, I wore it on a cold day. Since it is a long sleeve dress, I grabbed a not so bulky but warm sweater and wore it underneath. The dress is pretty light so I also grabbed a short black A-line skirt and wore underneath the dress for extra warmth. For a much cleaner look, I tucked the sweater into the skirt and then tied a skinny belt around my waist to cinch it in so as to add that extra fabulous touch to it.
Since I am a fashion lover and accessories are a big part of fashion. I ofcourse had to add a pair of great aviator sunnies to my long sleeve maxi dress look. I love that my hair was in cornrows here. I love how the brown looks against the green on the dress. I also went for a brown bag. I chose a pair of sandals for footwear because I just prefer the look of a maxi dress with sandals. Also, while it may have been cold, it definitely wasn't raining so for me this worked just perfect. I could have also gone with boots though.
So guys, nothing difficult in transitioning your summer outfits into the cold season while you still can because I'm sure it's almost impossible to wear this look in winter. If you are in countries like mine, Kenya, this is also very possible on those cooler days when you still want to wear your maxi dresses.
Thank you for stopping by,
XO,
Sophie

That long-sleeved maxi-dress looks very flowy, airy attractive and fashionable.
ReplyDeleteI like the pretty print and airy look of the dress. It looks fabulous accessorised with the skinny belt and aviator sunnies.
