Yes people. This is the first very obvious tip.Colors such as white, cream, grey, black and nude often bring out the best of the color red and that is something that so heavily applies even when the red happens to be your ankle boots and not just a belt or a bag which often give that easy pop of color.So I paired my boots with just a simple pair of black jeans and an off-white blouse, then wore my hat from Shein that you might remember from a few posts I've done ,last one wearing it having been on button up pants.Totally works already.

Add an element that stands out to the simple look

So black and white is the most obvious and easiest combination to wear but you kinda want to add something that pops. In my case , after doing a post on my favorite embroidered outerwear pieces it's obvious that I am a sucker for anything embroidered.I felt like this particular Dresslily white blouse , as opposed to a normal white one was perfect.The flowery embroidered details make the look pop and best part is, the red flowers did not have to match the ones on my ankle boots.
Anyway, you could go for a nice piece of jewellery that stands out a bit such as a golden necklace or a statement one depending on the type of blouse you have chosen to wear.Other options include a brooch or hair piece to ensure that in as much as the shoes are the focal point of the outfit, they do not overpower everything else.
