How To Wear A Shirtdress With Jeans For A Nice Casual Look

Hey guys!

I had every intention of posting this look of how to wear a shirtdress with jeans on Monday but suddenly I was so swamped which is why it’s just going up today.

The sun has once again decided to bless us with its much needed presence and we sure do hope it lasts so we can dress a bit lighter because Nairobi this year has been a city suffering because of cold weather for the most part.

So I got this beautiful colored shirtdress from Rosegal a very long time ago.Earlier this year actually and it’s taken me this long to post it on the blog.Wow!

When I got it , I knew exactly how I wanted to wear it.I just wanted to wear the shirtdress with jeans, these black ones for just a nice laid back look.A shirtdress over jeans or a shirtdress over leggings is always a great idea for girls like myself who don’t like showing too much leg because well, we are not so used to it.

The shirtdress over jeans, or let me say the dress over skinny jeans trend has been around for some time and even though it seems a bit crazy in thought, it works well in the actual execution.

So, for my shirtdress over jeans look, I wanted to keep everything else understated because the shirtdress is so loud already. I went for a black pair of jeans and these flip flop like sandals that I really love for obvious reasons.They are simple with just a bit of color.Just a bit.

I really miss this hair by the way.I think it looked so great actually but well, I decided to let it down and also opted for my black bag.

So, just a tip on how to wear a shirtdress with jeans is to make sure the jeans are well fitted because you know, a shirtdress is normally longer than the usual shirt and you don’t want to end up looking like the clothes are wearing you instead of the other way around.

So I hope you are more inspired to wear a shirtdress over jeans by this simple look I have up today.
