Hey guys!
For a long time, I was the matchy matchy kind of girl, maybe because growing up I was often dressed in accessories and shoes that just matched or in neutral colors. However, as I grew and discovered my love for fashion, I learnt of this cool color blocking fashion that just fascinate me.
So after the polka dot skirt outfit from my last post, here's a color blocking fashion outfit idea for you guys.
So color blocking is simply taking colors that are opposite each other on the color wheel and pairing them together. I love this color blocking trend because it allows you to come up with some very interesting fashion outfits. Unpredictable outfits if you ask me and for that reason, I actually color block a lot.
So for this color blocking outfit, I went for a bright blue and bright yellow combination. Loved it. I wore this blue, very well fitted blazer with one of my favorite sweaters which you might remember from my repeat offender snakeprint look. What I love about the blazer is the detail on the shoulder. Other than that, it's just very nice and simple. The contrast looks good if you ask me.
So I could have gone for a third color with the pants but I opted to keep things a bit neutral by going for a black pair of skinny pants. After all, this was to be a business casual color blocking look.
I went for a brown bag, a simple one. I think it also contrasted very well with my blue blazer. So because it was very cold and rainy, I added some patent brown leather boots.
For the accessories, I wore a snake print belt with some blade shaped brown earrings.
I don't know if the color blocking trend is your thing but I would encourage you to try it sometime.
It provides an interesting way for you to pair up your wardrobe pieces. It's like doing the unexpected with your beloved clothes.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you like my color blocking fashion outfit idea.
Xo,
Sophie
