I don't think so, so Happy New Year! I hope you kicked it off right. So did i. It started off busy for me hence the slight hiatus. Goodness, I'm often held up nowadays but better busy than idle right?
Anyway, I hope you're well settled into 2021. So I and I figured I'd start the year off with a post of me looking all sorts of pretty and well, in a red dress. January may be an expensive month for many but it doesn't last long. Soon, it will be February, the month of love so I figured I'd share how to style a wine red dress for a date.
The internet is full of red dress outfit ideas and red dress style tips, understandably because red is one of the most beautiful colors you can go for. I had to wear a predominantly red school uniform for four years of high school and once I was done, I couldn't bring myself to wear anything red for about three years. However, once I got back to it, it became one of my favorite colors.
Believe me, I got this wine red dress from Rosegal about four years ago and thank God, I look good in it to date. Well, I unfortunately overbuy clothes, so it takes a while sometimes before I wear them but we hope for better opportunities and more of them to step out in 2021.
So for this red dress outfit, I just went simple. Why? Well a red dress is always a showstopper on its own so I saw no need to ruin its shine. I figured, better keep everything that accompanies the wine red dress neutral.
For that reason, i figured my lace-up black open shoes would do for the footwear. These shoes actually have a touch of white on the laces and they are literally my favorite pair of heels. How could they not be when they go with everything while remaining comfortable?
I kept the clutch black. Afterall, this is a red dress style tip for a date.
In case you're wondering, I'm wearing a wig that I bought from Diva's Wigs a while back. I really love it and how it just compliments this outfit. So, whether you pick a bodycon style red dress like I did or pick a different cut, keeping everything else black allows your dress to stand out more, and you will love it I tell you.
So there you go guys, how to style a wine red dress for a date. I did share a video on date night outfits that you might want to check out below. Other than that, lol, I couldn't pick just a few favorite pictures and since I loved them all, I figured, why not just do a "photo dump?"
Thank you so much for stopping by. Happy New Year again!
