Hey guys! I hope you're all doing great. Well, so am I. I'm ever so busy nowadays that I barely find time to come on here and put up posts midweek, which I really hate, but I always look forward to free times such as these to post outfits.
So, I really love camis and other spaghetti strap dresses because there's so much you could do with them. A wealth of options which is something that makes me so happy. If you're wondering what's my favorite way to wear them, this post is for you. Here's how to wear a spaghetti strap dress but in a more demure way, with a t-shirt under it.
Wearing a t-shirt under a spaghetti strap dress is not something new. My mother used to dress me up like that a lot. Then again, I'm a 90s baby and it's a 90s trend I believe. I'm just glad the trend is still hot to date.
So I don't know about you but the possibility of wearing a t-shirt under a spaghetti strap dress just makes me feel more covered up but in such a nice way without me having to hide the design of the dress. Don't get me wrong, but I rarely have my full arms out. I'm just not so used to it. If anything, I wear long-sleeved tops and sweaters more. Another thing, I'm really slim so my collar bones are more visible and sometimes that doesn't cut it in some environments so this is good.
So, if you follow me on Instagram, you have seen this look because I posted a reel on it. I thrifted this spaghetti strap maxi dress in my home town, Eldoret about three years ago. I loved it for its print and amazing color, but this particular maxi dress is oversize. I don't mind that though because it's not so bad and also, there's a good reason we have belts around right?
I just love that you can't trip and fall in it because it doesn't exactly sweep the floor and I really love that. So I wore a white t-shirt under the dress but a black one works too. I also went for a flat pair of black sandals because I was going for a minimalist look. I chose a pair of white sunnies at the last minute just to make the outfit pop more.
You can also wear a t-shirt under a spaghetti strap top instead, the choice is yours. Just always make sure you wear a t-shirt that fits you properly. Also, it's better to pick a plain t-shirt if you're going to be wearing a printed dress. If the dress is completely plain, you can always try out a graphics type of t-shirt.
That's it from me today. Sorry there's lots of photos. I couldn't pick just a few lol.
Thanks for stopping by,
XO,
Sophie
