What To Wear To A Job Interview- A Skirt Suit

I hope you're all doing well. So am I. In a bid to be more consistent like I used to with my blogging, I have been spending time uploading more of the pictures in my drafts on here so I can get to posting already. It's because now, I have more content than ever to post in here and happily so. I'm going to be mixing my Spain posts with my Kenyan posts and vacation in Kenya posts so hat there is something for everyone. Today, the post is about what to wear to a job interview, a skirt suit for sure although generally, just a suit works even if it's one with pants.

So, believe it or not, this didn't come as a suit. I did buy both pieces from Shein, but here's the thing. I got the skirt alongside a crop top first. It was a matching set, and the following year I bought another set. It was the jacket with a pair of pants. The print was the same so now I just really enjoy playing around with all these pieces and for this look, I made a skirt suit.

Two piece skirt suits for ladies are definitely a blessing especially when you're thinking of what to wear to work. They make work easier since you only have to think of a top to wear underneath and also the shoes but that's pretty much it.

For this skirt suit outfit, I went all simple. I kept it classic, maintaining the black and white by wearing a white top underneath the suit jacket. I also chose a black bag I went for these open heel which are silver in real sense although they look more white here. I also went for simple accessories, just a silver necklace to match the shoes and a black skinny belt to sort of define my waist. I really love that the suit is light and works so well for summery months. However, with such a skirt suit, you could layer during colder times, perhaps by wearing a sweater underneath it and some dark tights with closed shoes and a nice heavier but stylish black top on top of it.

It's always great to dress up for work but when you are looking for what to wear to a job interview, a suit gives you a plus. You know, some extra points. Keep your skirt suit muted, don't go all flashy or else you risk distracting the interviewers from what's most important, you and your presentation.

Above all, while what you wear to the interview matters, do not forget to wear your beautiful smile as it gives an aura of confidence.
