Hey guys!
So I'm taking a break from sharing my vacation looks and images to share some work wear inspiration, you know, just to maintain the balance.

Have you ever tried the color blocking trend? Is the color blocking trend in in 2021?
Well, I don't know about you but if you ask me, yes. I have tried it severally. In fact, it's something I always do despite being such a matchy matchy kind of girl. In addition to that, for me it doesn't matter whether it's in in 2021 according to what people say or not, I just love to look good and as such, I will always wear what I feel and look great in.

Today, however I would like to give you just an idea on how to color block when dressing for work. Trust me, your work outfits don't always have to be boring.

So guys, this is one of my favorite blazers. I might also add that it recently fell on some olive oil and now has a stain that I have tried so many ways to remove but it just won't cooperate and I am just so sad about that. I digress but anyway, I love the pink color of this blazer because its so nice and bright and because of that, I can pull off the color block fashion in so many different ways with colors such as blue, green, and in this case, yellow.

So there's a thin line between color blocking and color clashing. You definitely do not want the latter right?

So, since this post is about how to color block when dressing for work, here are a few of my tips.

1. Choose just two bright blocking colors. In this case, I went for pink and yellow. I also love this yellow sweater by the way. It's just bright and warm enough, considering it was a bit cold on this day. Come to think of it, I have actually shared a color block trend outfit here before featuring the yellow sweater but with a bright blue blazer.

2. Pair the bright colors with neutrals. In this case, I picked a white button-down which I wore underneath the sweater because hey, I really love layering. Most of all, I'm always all for the preppy look. I also just chose a black pencil skirt and some black shoes, closed ankle strap heels to be more precise.

3. Since a color block outfit will always make a statement, pick simple pieces. Again, I just picked a simple cut pencil skirt.
