How To Style A Vintage Dress: Modern Vintage Outfit

I hope you all are doing well this Sunday. So am I. I'm doing great myself. We just recently had elections in our country and it's been almost a week. We still don't even know who won lol. There's so much uncertainty in the air, both sides exuding confidence and all but I'm just happy that it's peaceful all around. I pray that it stays that way. Let's talk vintage style clothing.

So I once did a post on how to dress vintage without looking old right here on the blog. Did you read it? Do you remember? Well, maybe, maybe not but no worries. Here's another modern vintage outfit I put together.

So, I bought this dress about two years ago in a pile of vintage dresses that were being sold in Eldoret, my hometown. It was right in the heart of 2020 when I didn't even think it was possible to get such great stuff anywhere but thankfully there was plenty. Dresses at least. I love vintage clothes such as this one because they are very unique as you can see. This one is in a great burgundy shade and has a great tie at the front that jazzes it up some more. I really love how cynched in my waist appears once I tied the dress as can be seen.

When I first got it, the dress was so big. It really did not fit me and well, my tailor worked his magic as usual and I am a happy customer as a result.

So, when I'm styling vintage style clothing, I just really love to keep it all simple with everything else. So, for this, I just decided to go for a pair of high peep to heels. I figured the extra height just makes me look so amazing. I also decided to add a pop of color with a brown bag instead of going for a black one that matches my shoes.

I love how this hair contrasts with the vintage dress. The brown and burgundy just look amazing, don't you think?
